Owner Dennis Cooper has been a consistent campaigner in the CYCA Ocean Pointscore and Grant Thornton Short Ocean Pointscore series with his Sydney 36CR Amante. The boat’s best results include a second in division in last year’s Audi Sydney Offshore Newcastle Yacht Race; and a second in the 2009 Gosford Lord Howe Island race. Amante’s other notable results have included second in division in the 2007 Audi Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race, winning the 2006/07 CYCA’s SOPS Autumn Pointscore Series on PHS and the 2007 Gascoigne Cup.
